Drew Carey is on and I've got 34 consecutive games won
Hello all.

How's it hanging (if anyone is thinking "a little to the left", then I just have to say "ewww")?

I suppose it's been quite a while since I last wrote anything of any importance. Or anything at all, for that matter. That happens a lot. I'm a lazy girl.

But here I am. I'll fill you in. Christmas was good. New Year's was good. Job still sucks. Still living at home. Still unsure what to do with my life. Still have a working liver (but I can't say how long that will last).

So, yeah.

I have a question. How does one get motivated? How does one get off their lazy butt, when every fibre of their being protests like a spoiled child? How does one get all of the ideas out of their head and into actual existence?

As I said before, I'm a lazy girl. I spend most of my time in front of a TV, or these days in front and a little to the left of the TV, the computer monitor displaying a game of freecell is usually in front of me. I have a lot of stuff I could do, or want to do, or, more importantly, should do but never actually get around to doing it. Things always seem to get in the way. I'm talking about excuses and justifications.

Example #1.

I've only get 3 or so hours in between shifts, which really isn't enough time to do anything significant, so I'll just watch TV and play freecell.

Example #2.

It's my only day off this week, so I might as well stay in and relax with a little TV and freecell.

Example #3.

But doing that would take energy, and I have none, while watching TV and playing freecell drains my brain of any coherent thought.

Example #4.

I like potatoes. Mash potatoes. M*A*S*H was funny. (This is after a few hours of watching TV and playing freecell).

Well, I suppose it will just take a pure act of will to change anything. I'm just going to have to drag my ass out of this armless and uncomfortable desk chair, get out into the world and....buy a book. Or write a story. Or learn a new language. Or bring democracy to China. Start with something small, anyway.

Yeah. That's it.

I do, however, have to be at work in less than an hour, so I suppose it will have to start tomorrow.

Sigh.

PS...Word up to my homey, Jacquie, who apprently does read this thing. S'up s'up?
